Micro-dusting of servers with ionisation removes static electricity and safely removes dust and particles from the equipment.
Cold dusting (Servers off)
The server is released and carefully slid forward to ensure that no cables are disconnected.
Hard drives, power sources, fans, internal protective plastic covers and hard drive covers are removed.
Ionised air is blown in to clean them.
The server is cleaned with a high-volume ESD vacuum. High-powered ionised air is then blown throughout the server (ionisation cancels out the static electricity in the particles which are easily dislodged and vacuumed up).
The cards, then the electrical power block are dusted with the high-powered ionising air gun.
Card and electrical slots and cables are brushed and vacuumed.
The hard drives, fans, internal protective plastic covers and hard drive covers are refitted.
The case is refitted and the outside of the box and front are cleaned.
